Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of therapy costs under the No Surprises Act. Learn what it covers and how to request yours in Denver.
Lola & Me Therapy is a private-pay practice, which means every client has the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. We believe you should never be surprised by the cost of your care, so we walk through fees openly before your first session — and we put it in writing.
What the law says
Under the No Surprises Act, which took effect January 1, 2022, health care providers must give clients who don't have insurance, or who choose not to use it, a written estimate of the expected charges for scheduled services. This applies to therapy, and it exists to protect you from unexpected bills.
What your estimate includes
Your Good Faith Estimate lists the expected fee for each session type — you can review our full fee schedule on our Rates & Insurance page — along with how often we expect to meet and your provider's details. An estimate is not a contract; it reflects the services reasonably expected at the time it's created, and it may change if your care plan changes.
When you receive it
You'll receive your estimate in writing within one business day of scheduling a service booked at least three business days ahead, and within three business days for services booked ten or more business days ahead. You can also request a Good Faith Estimate any time, even before you schedule.
Your right to dispute
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. Be sure to keep a copy of your estimate for your records so you can compare it against any bill you receive.
