What Are Couples Therapy Intensives?

Couples Therapy Intensives are a powerful and immersive way for partners to reconnect, repair, and realign. In these extended sessions, you and your partner work closely with a skilled clinician to explore your relationship dynamics, process emotional challenges, and move toward your shared goals. Whether you’re clear on what you want to work on—or simply know something needs to change—we’ll begin wherever you are and build from there.

These intensives offer a safe, judgment-free space to have the deeper conversations that are often hard to reach in everyday life. Together, you’ll uncover patterns, address past hurts, and learn new ways of communicating and supporting each other. Our approach is tailored to your relationship’s unique story and needs, creating a space that is both structured and compassionate—so you can reconnect with intention and leave with practical tools for lasting change.

At Lola & Me Therapy, we believe healing should fit your life, not the other way around. Our Therapy Intensives are fully customizable, allowing us to create a plan that works for your unique goals, schedule, and budget. Whether you’re looking for a few focused hours or several immersive days, we’ll collaborate with you to design an experience that meets your needs.

We understand that financial stress is real. That’s why we offer sliding scale options and adjust fees as your circumstances change. If cost is a concern, please reach out. We’re happy to talk with you about options that support both your healing and your financial well-being.

Is a Couples Therapy Intensive Right for You?

A Couples Therapy Intensive might be the supportive and transformative experience you and your partner are seeking if you’re looking to reconnect, heal, or deepen your relationship. This approach may be especially beneficial for:

  • Couples facing ongoing conflict or communication breakdowns. If conversations frequently turn into arguments—or don’t happen at all—an intensive offers a structured, calm environment to understand each other more clearly.
  • Partners working through trust issues or past hurts. Whether you’re healing from betrayal or past emotional wounds, dedicating focused time to process and repair can help you rebuild a foundation of safety and trust.
  • Couples navigating significant life transitions. From becoming new parents to facing job changes or relocation, big shifts can strain a relationship. An intensive helps you find common ground and move forward together.
  • Those wanting to reconnect emotionally or strengthen intimacy. If you feel like roommates instead of romantic partners, this space can help reignite closeness, vulnerability, and connection.
  • Partners who’ve felt stuck in traditional weekly therapy. When progress feels slow or limited, an intensive can provide the momentum needed to break through and move forward with clarity.

If you’re ready to invest time and energy into your relationship, Couples Therapy Intensives offer a meaningful way to do just that—with intention, depth, and support.

What Are the Benefits of Couples Therapy Intensives?

  • Focused Time, Deeper Progress: By setting aside dedicated time for your relationship, you create space to address concerns that often get pushed aside in everyday life. Intensives allow you to slow down, reflect, and work through issues more deeply than traditional weekly sessions allow.
  • Personalized Relationship Support: Each intensive is tailored to your unique relationship dynamic and goals. Whether you’re looking to rebuild trust, improve communication, or simply reconnect, the experience is designed to meet you where you are and move you forward—together.
  • Confidential Space for Honest Conversation: These sessions provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for you and your partner to share openly. With the guidance of a skilled therapist, you’ll learn to navigate tough conversations with more clarity, empathy, and care.
  • Therapeutic Momentum: Condensed, intentional sessions help you break through persistent patterns and create momentum for change. Instead of waiting a week between insights, couples often leave intensives feeling like they’ve made weeks—or even months—of progress in just a short time.
  • Clarity and Connection: Couples often walk away from intensives with a clearer understanding of their needs, desires, and relational dynamics. Whether you leave with renewed commitment or increased clarity about next steps, you’ll do so with deeper emotional insight and a stronger sense of self and partnership.
  • Skills You Can Use Beyond the Intensive: You’ll leave with tools and strategies that are practical, sustainable, and tailored to your relationship. From communication techniques to emotional regulation strategies, these skills will support your growth long after the intensive ends.
  • Recommitment and Hope: Couples Therapy Intensives are not just about working through problems—they’re about rediscovering what brought you together in the first place. You’ll gain a renewed sense of hope and connection, empowered to move forward as a stronger, more united team.
